LAKE TAHOE SCUBA DIVING

Lake Tahoe has one of the few underwater national parks in the United States! Its crystal clear waters offer views up to 100 feet much of the time and give a unique diving experience.

It is the second deepest lake in North America with a depth of 1645 feet and surface temperature of 75 degrees in the summer. Due to its depth the lake never freezes giving people the opportunity to use it year round. But it's not the depth you should worry about, its Lake Tahoe's elevation. At any average base elevation of 6,831 feet, it is recommended you should have a refresher course on altitude diving.

Lake Tahoe offers something for every level, from wreck and wall diving to getting PADI certified. Check out one of the dive shops listed to rent equipment, find a dive partner, or take a guided tour.
