LAKE TAHOE CROSS COUNTRY SKIING
Lake Tahoe is not just for the downhill skier, cross country skiing shows there is even more to offer. Experience Lake Tahoe's surrounding meadows, lakes, and valleys with gentle rolling trails or more steep inclines with beautiful overlooks.
It is not uncommon to get a snowfall of 2-4 feet at one time! Add to this an average of 274 days of sun and you have everything you could need for a perfect trip. Available is an extensive network of maintained trails provided to cross country skiers of all skill levels. This includes over 80 kilometers of groomed trails spread over 9000 acres.
While there are at least 7 different cross country skiing resorts in Lake Tahoe, the largest one in the country is just outside of Lake Tahoe. Accommodations are plenty in town if you enjoy short treks but can also include overnight wilderness cabins for those all day backcountry ski trips. There is also moonlight skiing for those that aren't tired yet!
