Camping offers one of the best and cheapest ways to see Lake Tahoe. No matter what shore you decide on, there are numerous campgrounds from which to choose.
South Lake Tahoe offers resort lodges to campsites having all amenities and RV parking. However, Lake Tahoe's longtime popularity as a summer camping destination may require reservations. Be sure to check with the local Forest Service for fire restrictions. Winter camping is also available and becoming increasingly popular. Most of the passes are open year round to provide access to your favorite spots.
